Remote education has presented many challenges for parents and schools all over the world. Studies show that screen time can have both positive and adverse impacts on children, and this shift to online education has only increased a child’s time with their devices. In fact, according to a Unicef report there is a “Goldilocks Hypothesis” for screen use, suggesting that there is evidence that children’s social relationships can be stimulated through digital technology and that moderate online communication has a positive relationship with the quality of friendship and social capital. However, when this is exceeded the effects can be both psychological (affecting the mind) as well as physiological (affecting the body). With the Blabloo smartphone parents can manage their child’s screen time remotely from their Parents App.
